(Processor award)
The AMPC Award for Environmental Performance recognises a red meat processor that has demonstrated exceptional environmental stewardship through measured outcomes in water and energy efficiency, water reuse & recycling, clean & renewable energy, and low emissions intensity as part of AMPC’s 2024 Environmental Performance Review.
Selection Criteria
- ERM have benchmarked participant members who also participated in the 2024 Environmental Performance Review project
- The Benchmarking project was conducted using member EPR surveys, together with workshops that conducted sense-checking, performance reviews, and improvement suggestions using the industry benchmarking tool
- The three best-performing teams (finalists) on water, energy, and emissions intensity were then selected by ERM, with individual case studies presented to AMPC for comparison and selection of the award winner.
Eligibility
- Open to AMPC members who participated in both the 2024 Environmental Performance Review (EPR) project and the 2024 Environmental Benchmarking workshops project
- The nominated award winner must attend the Awards Dinner at the AMPC Innovation Showcase 2025, and permit publication of their case study
- The three finalist teams for the awards will be asked to submit a high-resolution photo and company logo with the nomination.
