Front-end engineering design and implementation feasibility for an integrated wastewater, biogas and biofertilizer plant

22 April 2022
Focus area: Waste
Program stream: Sustainability
Project number: 2021-1226
This project provided funding to Tessele Consultants to develop a modular design of an integrated wastewater, biogas and biofertilizer plant at V&V Walsh in Western Australia.

In recent years, environmental regulations have become increasingly stricter. Therefore, to achieve compliance with new regulations, a new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) was required for the removal of nitrogen at V&S Walsh.

The results of this design stage will allow for better decision making, local authorities approvals and licensing application to integrate further stages of implementation.
