IoT solutions for automated temperature monitoring (stage 2)

22 April 2022
Focus area: Adoption
Program stream: Product & process integrity
Project number: 2022-1069
This project funded a study to determine the suitability of IoT solutions to enhance operations and reduce costs at an Australian red meat processing plant.

As part of the project, an IoT solution was installed to maintain and monitor (via a web browser and mobile app) critical control points within the plant and provide configurable alerts and notifications in the event of a temperature breach within the chosen areas.

Since the solution was installed, it has removed the need for manual temperature monitoring of the operation, increasing efficiency and reducing labour costs.
