28 June 2023
Focus area: Carcase primal profitability optimisation
Program stream: Advanced manufacturing
Project number: 2021-1208
AMPC partnered with Micro-X to investigate and demonstrate how Carbon Nanotube Technology (CNT) could be used in red meat processing in Australia.

As part of the project, a trial was conducted using Micro-X's CBCT imaging testbench. The trial successfully demonstrated that the technology was feasible for the red meat processing industry. The scans of the meat samples demonstrated the ability to view bone definition and distinguish soft tissue in the images.
