Program announced for AMPC Innovation Showcase
The Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) has officially announced the full program for the Innovation Showcase 2025. The event will be held from 10-11 September, at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre and will explore the theme ‘The future of red meat processing’.
The Showcase will highlight AMPC’s investments in research, development, and marketing activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with new technologies and initiatives in the demonstration area, hear from AMPC research providers on stage, and take part in interactive workshops with CSIRO and Earlee Products. Keynote speakers Niels Duedahl and Jamila Gordon will explore innovations that are transforming industries and global food supply chains.
AMPC Interim CEO Edwina Toohey said, “The event will help red meat processors stay informed about the latest research and development and encourage the practical adoption of these innovations in their processing plants.”
“We’re showcasing a huge range of projects, technologies and ideas from automation and AI to sustainability, workforce innovation, and global market readiness.”
Keynote speaker
Keynote speaker Niels Duedahl, CEO of Danish Crown, will share his experience leading innovation in one of Europe’s largest cooperative meat processors.
Niels said, “Drawing on insights from adjacent industries, we firmly believe that meat processing can benefit from a mindset of creativity and continuous improvement. At Danish Crown, we are driving meaningful change across our operations by focusing on automation, sustainability, and consumer-led innovation.”
Program highlights
Founder and CEO of Lumachain, Jamila Gordon, will discuss how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are transforming the global food supply chain.
Jamila said, “AI and AI Agents have the power to unlock visibility, trust and efficiency across the entire supply chain. For processors, it’s about building an innovative, safer and more profitable industry that’s ready to meet challenges and opportunities of the future.”
Other sessions will feature presentations on AMPC-funded projects, including robotics, water reuse, animal welfare, neurodiversity in the workforce, digital traceability, and scope 3 emissions. Attendees will also hear from processors and research providers who are trialling and adopting these innovations.
The program will conclude with a presentation on the More to Meat campaign and its positive impact on the red meat processing industry and the regional communities in which plants operate. This will be followed by a practical session on storytelling for leaders led by Rob Redenbach.
Innovation demonstration area
The demonstration area will provide attendees with access to a wide range of innovations, with over 45 exhibitors showcasing technologies, including hands-off processing, shadow robotics, and exoskeletons.

Optional workshops and site visits
Attendees can also register for optional workshops and site visits, including a guided tour of CSIRO’s state-of-the-art food pilot plant at Cooper Plains, a site visit to Earlee Products to see the latest in value-added food innovations, and the official launch of the AMPC Knowledge Hub which will feature practical advice on how to get the most out of the Hub.
Social events
The Impetus Animal Welfare Welcome Function and the Multivac Industry Dinner will provide opportunities for networking, collaboration, and will recognise industry excellence.
