Industry leaders graduate from the Australian Agribusiness Leadership Program
The Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) congratulates Kalani Moss, along with fellow red meat processing participants Robert Coates and Charis White, who recently graduated from the Australian Agribusiness Leadership Program (AALP), an intensive national initiative designed to foster cross-sectoral collaboration.
The AALP is a leadership development course delivered by the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation. It brings together leaders from diverse industries and communities across Australia for a transformative learning journey that includes immersive, real-world experiences.
AMPC proudly supported red meat processing participants to take part in the program as part of its strategy to invest in initiatives that bolster the industry’s leadership capabilities.
The Casino Food Company Innovation and Project Coordinator Kalani Moss said, “The program was a career-defining experience. The course was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. It was immersive and experiential. I learned so much about myself, both personally and professionally.”
Participants completed two intensive, week-long sessions, followed by continued project work, online peer learning, and leadership development activities.
“My perspective on the industry and myself has shifted in such a positive way. Learning from people in other industries broadened my mindset. It was transformational.
“I’m more aware of my core values and how to embed them in my day-to-day work. It’s also reinvigorated my passion for the industry.
“One of the most valuable parts of the program was joining the national alumni network. It includes people from all areas of agriculture, like dairy, grain, and cropping. It’s such a great opportunity to build connections and seek advice from peers,” she said.
The practical lessons gained through the AALP will directly benefit Kalani’s role at Casino Food Company. She said, “I’ve learnt how to better engage with different teams, how to approach challenges with a new mindset, and how to effectively manage conflict. These are practical skills I can immediately apply back on plant.
“I’d strongly encourage other emerging leaders in our industry to consider completing the AALP.
“Thank you to AMPC and Casino Food Company for sponsoring me to complete this course.”
