AMPC COVID marshal training a winner

COVID marshals at red meat processing plants have an important role to play in keeping their essential workforces safe and ensuring compliance with their COVID-safe plans. 

In 2020, AMPC developed COVID-19 marshal training for the red meat industry. It included specific examples of operational procedures as they relate to red meat processing plants, assisting in better learning outcomes for participants. 

In November 2021 it was announced that AMPC’s COVID-19 marshal training course won a Gold Award for the best pandemic resource at the LearnX Awards which judged submissions from New Zealand, Singapore, and the US. 

Over the past few years more than 50 meat processing industry individuals completed the online course. 

The course is free for AMPC members and meat processing plants may nominate up to three employees per plant to complete the training. COVID-19 isn’t going away so this course remains extremely important for the red meat industry.
